Pointe Santo D-47—Rates and Directions

Rent directly through the owner

We (Sandy Teger and Dave Waks) live full time on Sanibel Island and rent Pointe Santo D-47 directly, so we can provide our guests with the most personal attention. An electronic door lock is programmed for your stay, so you don't need need to pick up or return keys. Our local property maanager attends to any problems while you're staying at our condo.

If D-47 is booked for the week you are seeking, we may have availability at our beach-level condo Pointe Santo E-2, and can refer you to other owners at Pointe Santo who rent direct.

Rentals run from Saturday to Saturday. These all-inclusive rates include linens, towels, initial bathroom/kitchen supplies and cleaning after departure. There is a $35 booking fee, and 11% Florida and local tax. Rental rates are subject to change.

Children are welcome and our condo has a porta-crib, booster seat and beach toys. No smoking and no pets, please.

Availability and Booking

If D-47 is booked for the week you are seeking, we may have availability at our beach-level condo Pointe Santo E-2, To book a reservation or ask questions, call Dave at +1.973.420.3232 or send us an email.

To hold your reservation, you'll send us a deposit of $300 or 20%, whichever is greater, plus the $35 booking fee and 11% tax on the booking fee; we'll send you a written confirmation. The balance is payable by check 30 days prior to arrival.

Our rates are based on payment by check. As a courtesy we can accept payment with any credit card. We add the out-of-pocket cost of this service (currently 3.1% for US rentals and 4.1% for international rentals) to your deposit and final payments.

Trip Insurance

Many circumstances, including adverse weather, can get in the way of a planned vacation. Travel Cancellation Insurance Coverage is available from several online sources. We recommend that you protect your vacation investment in the event of a cancellation due to certain unforeseeable events such as illness, hurricanes, natural disasters, etc. which are beyond our control.

By Air

South West Florida International Airport, Fort Myers (RSW) is convenient and only 45 minutes from the condo. After leaving the airport:

  • Take the airport road about two and a half miles to the end at a traffic light.
  • Turn right following signs towards I-75 North and drive about two and a half miles to the second traffic light (shortly after the first).
  • Turn left on Daniels Road towards I-75; continue under the I-75 highway overpass.
  • Drive about two more miles. Stay in the left lane when you see left-turn signs pointing to Sanibel.
  • Turn left at the traffic light with Six Mile Cypress Parkway. After about two miles, it crosses Route 41 (South Cleveland Avenue) and becomes Gladiolus Road. Drive another mile and stay in the left lane when you again see left-turn signs pointing to Sanibel.
  • Take the overpass to merge with Summerlin Road. Drive about six miles to the Sanibel toll booth.
  • Continue with "On the Island" directions below.

Tampa International Airport (TPA) is about 2-1/2 hours away but it is an easy drive. After leaving the airport:

  • Take I-275 south to I-75 south.
  • Then follow the "By car" directions below.

By Car

Arriving from the North or the South on I-75:

  • Exit I-75 at exit 131 (old #21) to go west on Daniels Road.
  • After you exit the highway onto Daniels Road, drive about two miles. Stay in the left lane when you see left-turn signs pointing to Sanibel.
  • Turn left at the traffic light with Six Mile Cypress Parkway. After about two miles, it crosses Route 41 (South Cleveland Avenue) and becomes Gladiolus Road. Drive another mile and stay in the left lane when you again see left-turn signs pointing to Sanibel.
  • Take the overpass to merge with Summerlin Road. Drive about six miles to the Sanibel toll booth.
  • Follow through the toll booth onto the Sanibel Island causeway, and continue with "On the Island" directions below.

On the Island

After crossing the causeway:

  • Continue for a short distance to the first stop sign.
  • Turn right onto Periwinkle Way.
  • In about one mile, take the first left onto Casa Ybel Road (Jerry's Supermarket will be on your right).
  • Stay on the road -- as you pass the Casa Ybel Resort the name changes to West Gulf Drive. Pointe Santo is the complex just after Sanibel Cottages on the left.
  • Turn left into the driveway marked "Entrance" and go past the left side of the buildings looking for the parking space for D-47. This is on the right side at the center of the D building immediately to the left of the path to the elevator.
  • Take the elevator to the fourth floor and turn left to unit D-47.
